Sharon Olexa Crandall
Sharon finds creative inspiration through listening to music. "When
I listen to music, I hear stories." She laughs and adds that
playing with her grandsons, Austin and Travis, helps her stay in touch
with her inner child whom she says really does her writing for her.
Sharon also makes space for creative ideas to flow by taking time
for "sound meditation" quietly listening for the
next sound whether it be a chirping bird or the whistle of the Wind.
Formerly a pediatric nurse and choir director, she now reaches out
to children to share with them her love of music and art through her
children's stories. Sharon writes fiction for both adults and children.
Her special signature is writing prose and poetry that offers her
impressions of classical music.
