Antonio Vivaldi
Antonio Vivaldi lived 300 years ago, but his music has found new popularity today. If you have ever turned the car radio to a classical music station, you have probably heard some of Antonio Vivaldi's work. The music on the enclosed CD is called The Four Seasons and contains four concertos: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. The violin has a starring role in The Four Seasons just as the violin plays a major part in the story of Owlie and His Magic Music. As the story unfolds, the seasons change one into the other matching the music as it flows from Spring to Summer to Autumn to Winter. Antonio Vivaldi wrote a poem for each of the seasonal concerts in The Four Seasons, but his favorite season is unknown.
